This sneak peek of a Gilded Box combines supplies from the Gilded Autumn suite, with the Warm Hugs bundle, all from the upcoming August-December catalogue.
This triangle box is an “oldie but goodie” design. It’s a great, simple to make box, that works at any size, just as long as the long edge is twice the length of the short edge. Keep it looking fresh and new by combining it with the lush new papers.
Colour Combo
The colour combination mixes Cajun Craze with Metallic Gold and Copper.
Instructions
Start with a 4″ x 8″ piece of Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP. Score at 4″ on the long side. Mark at 2″ on each short side. Score from the middle 2″ mark outward each way, to the fold line, top and bottom. You should now have two large triangles in the centre and four half triangles , one at each corner. Fold the half triangles inward to cover each other and use a hole punch in the centre. Add your treats to the box, thread with Metallic ribbon from the Combo Pack and tie in a bow.
Using Early Espresso ink, stamp a sentiment from the Warm Hugs set onto a scrap of Very Vanilla. Die cut out with the co-ordinating Warm Wraps die. Thread an Acorn Trinket onto Metallic ribbon from the Combo Pack and adhere the ends of the ribbon behind the doughnut sentiment so that the acorn hangs down in the middle. Pop the sentiment up with mini dimensionals, onto a Stitched Circle die (from the same Warm Wraps set) cut from Brushed Metallic card. Pop the circles up on the front of the box. Punch two oak leaves from Brushed Metallic card, with the Autumn Punch Pack and pop up to meet at the acorn.
The box was designed to go with the Gilded Squares card.
Thanks for stopping by.
