My tutorial today is a personalised, wreath Christmas card for a grandson.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the wreath grandson card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
The Arrange a Wreath Bundle is from our Annual Catalogue and is perfect year round. As well as the Christmas sentiment, it also has sentiments for Valentine’s, Easter, birthdays and thank you’s.
Although I used the Poppy Parade ribbon from the All the Trimming Ribbon Combo Pack (now sold out), the die set comes with a die to create a pretty bow from cardstock. I used a Gold Foil ribbon on this wreath birthday card.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Poppy Parade.
Wreath grandson card tutorial
Start with an A6 portrait card of Early Espresso. Cut a card front layer of Crumb Cake and run through the Pinewood Planks embossing folder. Adhere direct to the card front. Using Poppy Parade ink, stamp a sentiment from the Arrange a Wreath stamp set onto a large scrap of Whisper White card. Die cut out with a Layering Circle (or use the centre of your lower wreath layer) and adhere direct to the card front. Die cut sprig and leaf wreaths from Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive card and adhere thse direct over the top of the circle. Finish the wreath with Red Rhinestones and a bow of Poppy Parade ribbon from the All the Trimmings combo pack (or see above for alternative).
Using Old Olive ink, stamp the personalisation using the appropriate relative from the Family Party set, onto a narrow strip of Whisper White. Punch the ends to the strip with a Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. Mat onto a slightly deeper strip of Old Olive card, punched with the next label size of the punch. Pop the sentiment up on the card front with dimensionals.
Wreath grandson card insert
On the Whisper White insert, using Poppy Parade ink, stamp a sentiment and the berries from the Tag Buffet set. Add holly leaves from the same set with Old Olive ink.
Thanks for stopping by.
