Framelit Purse

May 5, 2012

At my recent hostess events, I gave each of my hostesses one of these little purses. Each was made using the new framelit dies – with a few colour variations.

The framelit set contains 6 different size dies packaged in a sturdy plastic wallet. Hang on to the sheet that comes inside the wallet, not only does it have the instructions on it, but also the approximate size of each die at its widest part.

I used one size framelit to make the purse and another to decorate it.

I’ll be back soon with a quick tutorial showing how to make the actual purse.

Recipe
Stamp sets: Apothecary Art (W125525 or C125527)
Textured Cardstock: Blushing Bride (124387)
Plain Cardstock: Whisper White (106549)
Ink: Rose Red (101778), Black Stazon (101406)
Markers: In Color Assortment – Pear Pizzazz (119801), Many Marvelous Markers –  Rose Red, Daffodil Delight (119806)
Punches: 1″ Circle (119868)
Seam Binding Ribbon: Rose Red (121884)
Framelits Dies: Labels Collection (125598)
Embossing Folders: Adorning Accents (125601)
Tools: Big Shot (113439), Crop-a-dile (108362)

The purse was created from Textured Blushing Bride card, run through the Big Shot with the hearts Adorning Accents embossing folder. A hole was punched in the top of the purse with the Crop-a-dile, threaded with Rose Red Seam Binding Ribbon which was then tied in a bow. Rose Red ink was used to stamp the smallest Apothecary Art label onto Whisper White card. The smallest die was then used to cut the shape out. Black Stazon ink was used to stamp the same image again onto Whisper White card and only the centre was punched out with the 1″ Circle. This was coloured with the markers, popped up on a dimensional in the centre of the Rose Red image and both layers popped up on dimensionals on the front of the purse.

Have a great bank holiday weekend.

Sara xx
