A gingerbread candy wrapper

September 3, 2012

Yesterday I shared a Halloween candy wrapper box. Today’s version of the same candy wrapper box has been given a Christmas makeover Laughing

The Candy Wrapper (120890) this time has been die cut from Real Red card and covered at each end with narrow strips of Candlelight Christmas DSP (126901). To make the little gingerbread man, the stamp from the Scentsational Season set (W121026 or C121190) was first inked with Versamark, then before stamping was inked again with Soft Suede ink, then finally stamped onto Very Vanilla card. This gives a mottled effect which I think is actually perfect in simulating the look of gingerbread. It was covered with Sugar and Spice Embossing Powder (127829) and heat embossed. You can see from the top pic that it goes glossy, what you can’t see, is that it smells of gingerbread! Laughing

The dinky little man was die cut using the matching die from the Holiday Collection Framelits (you can get 15% off the bundle when you buy the stamp set and framelits together – bargain!). Real Red Brads (Brights 119740) were added as his buttons before popping him up on dimensionals on the front of the wrapper.

For the back of the candy wrapper, the sentiment from Tags Til Christmas (W120847 or C121169) was stamped in the same way as the gingerbread man, punched out with the Scallop Square (119884) and popped up on dimensionals.

Smells yummy!

Sara xx
