Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator

Back from Convention

November 4, 2012

Yes I’m back from Convention and no less giddy than when I went! I’m still on an enormous high. We’ve had a fabulous time and I can’t wait to go again next year … to Manchester! Yay! So close to home. That cuts down on the travel time, it cuts down on the cost and I don’t have to worry about airport luggage restrictions. Woohoo! How would you like to come with me?

It’s so easy to sign up and join my team. You can do it online with just the following information:

  • Personal contact information
  • Credit card payment information

You’ll receive a welcome email from Stampin’ Up! and from me, followed up by a welcome package from me by snail mail! If you’d like more information before joining then take a look here or email me your details and I’ll give you a call to chat things over.

One of my favourite things about Convention is all the swapping. This year I managed to make around 120 or so swaps but I made 5 different designs. I’ll share two of them today, they’re quite similar, just a change of colour and embossing folder. They both use the Ornamant Keepsakes set. Check out the SU! November customer offer if you haven’t seen it yet, as the stamp set/bundle are included in the offer.

Here’s the Cherry Cobbler version:

Recipe
Bundle: Ornament Keepsakes (stamp set and framelits) (W129949 or C129950)
Stamps: Petite Pairs (W122495 or C122497)
Card: Cherry Cobbler (121681), Very Vanilla (106549)
Ink: Cherry Cobbler (126966)
Seam Binding Ribbon: Cherry Cobbler (120992)
Punches: Word Window (119857), Modern Label (119849)
Embossing Folder: Petals-a-Plenty (116824)
Other: Basic Rhinestones (119246)

The card base is an A6 portrait of Cherry Cobbler. A mat of Very Vanilla was run through the Big Shot with the Petals-a-Plenty folder. After stamping the large ornament with Cherry Cobbler ink it was die cut with the matching framelit and popped up on dimensionals on the card front. The sentiment was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink onto Very Vanilla card, punched out with the Word Window and adhered direct to a Modern Label punched from Cherry Cobbler card before popping up on dimensionals on the card front. A bow of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon was adhered over the top of the ornament with a glue dot and a Basic Rhinestone was added to the centre to finish.

Here’s the blue version:

Recipe

Ink: Midnight Muse (126860)
Seam Binding Ribbon: Baja Breeze (122331)
Embossing Folder: Holiday Frame (127820)
Other: Basic Pearls (119247)

The card base is an A6 portrait of Baja Breeze. A mat of Very Vanilla was run through the Big Shot with the Holiday Frame folder. After stamping the large ornament with Midnight Muse ink, it was die cut with the matching framelit and popped up on dimensionals on the card front. A bow of Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon was adhered over the top of the ornament with a glue dot and a Basic Pearl was added to the centre to finish.

Looking forward to some sleep now Laughing
