Best Day Ever Tag card – Best Day Ever bundle

January 21, 2015

Now I know how it is, with so much choice on offer with the main catalogue and the Spring/Summer catalogue it can be really difficult to decide what to get, so that you can qualify for a Sale-a-bration freebie. So each week from now until the end of Sale-a-bration, I’m going to suggest a possible bundle and share with you a couple of projects that use that bundle. These are only suggestions – you’re free to switch and change to suit your preferences or choose something else entirely! 🙂

Here’s my first suggested bundle (it assumes that you have cardstock and ink pads – if you have different colours to those in the suggested DSP then switch the DSP out for something to match your colours):

BEST DAY EVER BUNDLE

£9.95   Confetti Celebration DSP (133692)
£19.95 Ornate Tag Topper punch (137416)
£6.25  Silver Satin Ribbon (134548)
£4.50  Silver 1/8″ Ribbon (132137)
£4.50  Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246)

£45.15   Total

FREE Best Day Ever Stamp set
(Wood 139091, Clear 139094, Photopolymer 139149)

(If ordering online then you get to choose your freebie when you checkout).

Here’s the first project made with the bundle.

best day ever tag

The card base is an A6 portrait of Smoky Slate matted with Pistachio Pudding card and then Confetti Celebration DSP. A tag (2″ x approx. 3-3/4″)  was cut from Basic Gray card and punched at the top with the Ornate Tag Topper.  A slightly smaller tag (1-7/8″ x approx.  3-5/8″) was cut from Whisper White card and again punched with the Ornate Tag Topper. This was stamped with one of the sentiments from Best Day Ever in Smoky Slate ink. The tiny triangles were stamped, pointing to the sentiment, using Pistachio Pudding ink and then the stripy heart added in Strawberry Slush ink. The two tags were adhered together centred, Silver Satin Ribbon threaded through the holes and then tied with 1/8″ Silver Ribbon and trimmed. After popping the tag up on the card front with dimensionals, it was finished by adding a Basic Rhinestone to the heart.

On the Whisper White insert, the flowers were stamped across the bottom in Pistachio Pudding ink, rotating the stamp so that the striped petal was in a different position each time.

I’ll be back with another project using this same bundle on Monday (we’ll have other projects and news between now and then 🙂 ).
