Square Hearts Come Home Christmas card

December 16, 2017

I needed another quick batch of last minute Christmas cards today and so I made a slight variation to yesterday’s design – using up some more of the fabulous Year of Cheer Specialty DSP (although most of the patterns are great year round anyway).

As I was going for the gold and white check pattern I swapped to a square design for my main image. And because I was in a rush I used the Memento Black ink which dries quicker than our Archival Black.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Basic Black matted with Year of Cheer Specialty DSP. A Layering Square was die cut from Basic Black card and adhered direct to the card front. After die cutting a Stitched Shape from Whisper White card it was also die cut with one of the Hometown Greetings Edgelits and stamped with a sentiment from Hearts Come Home in Basic Black ink. This was popped up on dimensionals in the centre of the Basic Black frame. A small bow of Gold 1/8″ Ribbon was added below the main image with a Mini Glue Dot.

On the Whisper White insert, another sentiment and images from the Hearts Come Home set were stamped in Basic Black ink.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Thanks for stopping by.
