Decorative Dots embossed purses

I’ve got double the fun for you today – a couple of mock croc handbags.

It’s the same basic Petite Purse, same Decorative Dots embossing folder (133520 – free with £45 purchase during Sale-a-bration) and same tag but some slight variations to decoration and trim.

One’s ready for Mother’s Day (Sunday 30 March here in the UK) and the other for Easter (Sunday 20 April) – so that leaves plenty of time for you to place your Sale-a-bration order, get your free embossing folder and make the purses Smile

The Petite Purse (125606) was die cut from Pear Pizzazz/Tempting Turquoise. It was put through the Big Shot in the Decorative Dots embossing folder, from two different directions, lining up the base of the purse with the bottom of the folder in each case. It was done this way so that no part of the purse is overhanging the folder and liable to get mashed going through, for the same reason, it was rolled through until the folder was only just through and then rolled back again. The purse handles were also run through in the embossing folder.

The embossed dots of the Pear Pizzazz purse were sponged lightly with Old Olive and Crumb Cake inks and a button brad from the Vintage Trinkets (118764) added to the front of the purse as a faux closure.

The Tempting Turquoise purse and handle were covered with Versamark ink (after folding in the tabs so that they’re not covered and will adhere better) and Clear EP, the excess tapped off and then heat embossed. One of the Petite Petals** flowers (Wood 133152 or Clear 133155)was stamped onto Tempting Turquoise card with Versamark ink, covered with Pool Party EP, heat embossed then punched out with the Petite Petals punch** (133322). This was fastened to the front of the purse with a Mini Brad (122941). Purses were adhered together along the tabbed edges and the handles attached with more Mini Brads.

The sentiments from Teeny Tiny Sentiments (Wood 130042 or Clear 120024)  were stamped using Old Olive/Tempting Turquoise ink onto Whisper White card and punched out with the Word Window (119857). An Itty Bitty flower (118309) was punched from Tempting Turquoise and added to the Easter greeting with a Mini Brad. They were matted onto Modern Labels (119849) punched from cardstock to match the purse and then fastened to the purse handle with safety pins from the same Vintage Trinkets.

These can be filled with small treats.

Hope you have a go and if I can help with any order then please let me know.

Sara xx
