Okay, I know I was trying to use my neglected stamps but I couldn’t help myself – it’s back to Sale-a-bration while we still can!
Have you tried MDS yet? It’s definitely not just for scrapbooking. I used it here to create a couple of thank you treat boxes and then filled my Sale-a-bration Twisty Treat bags with the sweets to go in them. (Wouldn’t they be great for Mother’s Day or Easter too?)
The Hooray for Parties Digital Ensemble (135274 – a Sale-a-bration freebie which includes templates for invitations, thank you’s and party decor along with digital stamps, DSP, embellishments and punches) was used to create the box templates, fill them with digital DSP and add thank you labels to the fronts. I didn’t need the deep colour of the original pattern for my boxes and so reduced the Opacity a little so that not as much printer ink was used. After printing the templates onto Whisper White card, I turned the card over and fed it back through the printer to print another paper pattern on the reverse side.
The Twisty Treat kit bags (133513 – also available FREE with a £45 purchase during Sale-a-bration) are really quite large and so after cutting out and assembling the boxes, I used them to work out how much to cut off the original bag (I’ll be back soon to show what I used the cut away section for).
The blue flowered box was simply trimmed with Island Indigo Chevron Ribbon (131151) and Whisper White Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (126877), snipped, tied and adhered with Mini Glue Dots. More of the Whisper White Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon was used to tie the bag closed.
The white flowered box was trimmed with a flower made from Petite Petals (133322) punched from Crisp Cantaloupe card and waste from the printed MDS box, an Itty Bitty flower (118309) punched from Pool Party card and finished with a Basic Pearl (119247). The bag was fastened closed with the Twisty fastener that comes in the Twisty Treats kit.
You can test drive the FREE 30 day trial of MDS yourself and you can also get the Hooray for Parties MDS bundle free with a £45 purchase.
Why not give it a go?
