Perfect Pennants CASEd card

Today’s card is a simple CASE (Copy And Share Everything) from Impressions, our bimonthly magazine from Stampin’ Up! When you join SU! as a demo you automatically get sent a paper copy of the magazine (and also have access to back issues online), which is full of both business and stamping ideas and inspiration.

The version of the card in the magazine is this one, featuring fringes created by the new Fringe Scissors (133325):

I liked the idea of a card where the focus is cleanly on the sentiment but decided to simplify a little further, by reducing the colours used and I also swapped fringes for Edgelits and punch. This is my take on the card:

The card base is an A6 portrait of Pool Party. After stamping the sentiment from Perfect Pennants  (Wood 133227 orClear 133230) in Island Indigo ink onto a panel of Whisper White card, it was edged on one side, by a border of Island Indigo card. Another, wider border was die cut from Island Indigo card with the scalloped Adorning Accents Edgelit (125595). A small border was punched from Pool Party card with the Scallop Trim Border (118402). These two different scallops aren’t actually the same size but as you’re only using a small portion of one, it’s not so clear that they don’t match up exactly. The two borders were adhered together and then behind the other side of the main panel. Island Indigo Baker’s Twine (125575) was wrapped around the panel and tied in a bow before popping all the layers up on dimensionals on the card front. An Itty Bitty flower (118309) was punched from Island Indigo card, adhered below the sentiment and finished with a Basic Rhinestone (119246).

On the Whisper White insert, banners and another sentiment, all from the same Perfect Pennants set, were all stamped in Island Indigo ink.
