Blended bowl of cherries

July 9, 2014

giggle greetings close up

Yesterday I shared news about the new Blendabilites markers and gave a sneak peek of a panel of colouring in that I’d done with them. Now I’m back to show the finished card.

As I only have Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Blendabilities at the moment (see –  even I can’t afford to buy everything in one go, lol) I went with the Razzleberry for the cherries. Cherry Cobbler might be a better choice but I was thinking of the deep purple cherries you get in Black Forest Gateau (mmmm!).

The card base is an A6 portrait of Rich Razzleberry, matted with Old Olive card that was first put through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb embossing folder. The image and sentiment from Giggle Greetings was stamped onto Whisper White card with Memento black ink (the best combo for colouring with these markers) and all three shades of the Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Blendabilities were used to colour first the cherries and then the bowl. The Color Lifter was used finally to create a bit more highlight on the bowl before matting the panel onto Rich Razzleberry card and popping it up on the card front on dimensionals. Cherries were punched from Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry card with the Cupcake punch, layered together, then popped up on the tiniest sliver of dimensional in one of the lower hexagons.

On the inside a sentiment from Perfect Pennants was stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink.

What do you think? Do I get away with the Rich Razzleberry or must it be Cherry Cobbler?
