Brusho birthday card

November 21, 2018

Here’s the last of the convention swap cards that I made.

This one is another that combines watercoloring and Brusho, but this time with a birthday theme.

To make the background pieces this time, I wet watercolour paper through, using an Aqua Painter, sprinkled both Brilliant Red and Gamboge onto the paper and then added spatters of Bright Copper Shimmer Paint.

Again, bursts of lovely vibrant shades with the Brusho and I think mixing the two colours gives wonderful fiery look.

The colour combo is Poppy Parade, Whisper White and metallic Gold though the spatter is Bright Copper and whilst the Brusho colours don’t convert exactly to SU! colours, you can see that the Poppy Parade is pretty close to the Brilliant Red.

The card base is a small square of Poppy Parade. A watercolored background piece was prepared as above, allowed to dry thoroughly and then die cut out with a Stitched Shapes framelit. Using Versamark ink, a sentiment from Perennial Birthday was stamped onto the watercolored piece and heat embossed with White EP. This was then adhered direct onto a Layering Square die cut from Gold Foil and the combined layers were popped up on the card front with dimensionals. A small flower was die cut from Whisper White card using the Snowfall thinlits, adhered to the upper right corner of the layers and finished with a Basic Rhinestone.

The Whisper White insert was stamped with a sentiment and image from Perennial Birthday using poppy Parade ink.

Thanks for stopping by.
