This Heirloom Sailing Home card combines a frame created with the Woven Heirlooms die and folder set with Sailing Home stamps.
I wasn’t too sure of the sizing of the Heirloom frames and how well they would sit on UK sized cards, but I’m so glad I got them now!
The rectangular frame leaves plenty of room below for a sentiment and I look forward to trying some less obvious layouts.
Colour Combo
This colour combo mixes Seaside Spray, Pretty Peacock and Terracotta Tile.
Instructions
Start with an A4 portrait card of Seaside Spray. Using the Heirloom Frames set, die cut a rectangular frame from Pretty Peacock card and emboss with the matching folder. Cut a panel of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper to fit behind the frame and use an Aqua Painter to apply a wash of Pretty Peacock ink to the lower half and Seaside Spray ink to the upper half. Once throughly dry, stamp the birds from the Sailing Home set using Basic Gray ink.
Adhere the watercolored panel direct to a card front layer of Terracotta Tile and adhere direct to the card front. Pop the frame up on dimensionals. Using Stazon Black ink, stamp the larger sailboat from the set onto Whisper White card. Colour in using a Blender Pen with Pretty Peacock and Terracotta Tile inks. Die cut the sailboat with the matching Smooth Sailing Die and pop up within the frame with dimensionals. Use Pretty Peacock ink to stamp a sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays onto a scrap of Whisper White card. Die cut out with a Stitched Rectangle and pop up on the card front with dimensions. Add a Sail Away Trinket with a glue dot to finish.
On the Whisper White insert, stamp another sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays set using Pretty Peacock ink. Use the same ink to stamp the lighthouse and the smaller sailboat from the Sailing Home set.
Thanks for stopping by.
