Royal Peacock birthday card

May 2, 2020

This is another overdue card, lol. I made this Royal Peacock birthday card for my Mum last summer and never got round to sharing it. Better late than never.

My Mum likes larger cards so this one is A5 (that’s a full sheet of A4 simply folded in half).

The card does use retiring products.

Retiring products are available until 2 June or while supplies last. Some products will sell out quickly. If a product picture is missing or the link (below the post) won’t work it is most likely because that item has sold out. Please don’t delay if there’s an item you still want.

INSTRUCTIONS

Royal Peacock birthday card

Start with an A5 portrait card of Pretty Peacock. Wrap Old-Olive/Pretty Peacock Reversible Ribbon approximately 1″ from the base of a mat of Noble Peacock Specialty DSP* before adhering it direct to the card front. Use Stitched Rectangle dies to die cut rectangles from two shades of Noble Peacock Foil Sheets. Adhere direct together and then pop up on the card front with dimensionals. Using Pretty Peacock ink, stamp the peacock from the Royal Peacock set* onto Whisper White card. Die cut out with the matching Detailed Peacock dies*. Colour the peacock feathers with a Coastal Cabana marker and add Noble Peacock Rhinestones* before popping up with dimensionals on the Foil mats on the front of the card. Finish the peacock panel with a bow of the matching ribbon.

Using Pretty Peacock ink, stamp a sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays onto smaller Stitched Rectangle of Whisper White card. Tip – snip the sentiment apart so that it fits better in the rectangle. Add the “Mum” using letters assembled from the Make a Difference set. After adding the trio of flowers from the Royal Peacock set* to the corners of the sentiment, colour in with the Coastal Cabana marker. Pop the sentiment up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish the flower centres with more Noble Peacock Rhinestones*.

* retiring products – get them before they’re gone!

Royal Peacock birthday card insert

On the Whisper White insert, use Pretty Peacock ink to add a sentiment from the Painted Glass set* in the centre. Die cut a feather from Pretty Peacock Foil using the Detailed Peacock dies* and adhere to the bottom right corner.

Thanks for stopping by.
