My tutorial today is for a Many Mates anniversary card and it also provides sneak peek of another pattern from one of our upcoming Sale-a-bration freebies that you’ve already seen; the Oh So Ombre DSP. Plus there’s a sneak peek of some of the beautiful foiled papers coming in the January – June catalogue: Love You Always Specialty DSP.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Many Mates anniversary card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
This card design uses the same easy triangles background layout that I shared here and here – but this time we are mixing two different papers. We end up with 8 triangles total, so please scroll all the way down, to see the other card front created using the extras.
From 5 January 2021 you’ll have the chance to choose the Oh So Ombre paper pack as your free Sale-a-bration product when you spend £45.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Rococo Rose, Sahara Sand and Whisper White.
Mates anniversary card tutorial
Start with an A6 portrait card of Rococo Rose. Cut a mat from Sahara Sand. Cut two card front layers from both the Rococo Rose Oh So Ombre DSP and the Rococo Rose pattern of Love You Always Specialty DSP. Holding the two DSP layers together tightly, cut them diagonally corner to corner both ways (see video). Mix the patterns of DSP and adhere direct to the Sahara Sand card front layer and then direct to the card front. Using Rococo Rose ink, stamp a sentiment from the Many Mates set onto a small rectangle of Whisper White card. Mat onto a scrap of the leftover Oh So Ombre DSP and pop up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish with the matching Butterfly Gems.
Mates anniversary card insert
On the Whisper White insert, using Rococo Rose ink, stamp another sentiment from the Many Mates set. Add a strip of the same foiled DSP used on the front of the card, along the base.
You can find supplies for this Many Mates anniversary card in my online shop with the exception of the DSPs, which won’t be available until 5 January 2021.
Using the leftover triangles, I also made an alternative version of the card. This time I stamped the sentiment direct onto the light space of the ombre triangle (similar to the technique used here) and wrapped the card front with a Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon and bow. The ribbon will be available in the new January – June catalogue.
Looking forward to the new catalogue and Sale-a-bration yet? I’ve got lots more to share coming up.
Thanks for stopping by.
Sara xx
