Today’s tutorial is for a wrapped Envelope Treat Box. This time we’re decorating the box by wrapping it with DSP. The wrap can then be slid off the box to get into it.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the wrapped Envelope Treat Box. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
This colour combo mixes Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Iridescent. This is the same colour combo that I used for the Snowflake Circles card.
Wrapped Envelope Treat Box
Pre-fold the Envelope Treat Box along all the scorelines. Fold the tabs into the centre and peel off the tape backing. Fold up the box sides, aligning the edges to adhere. Close the box ready for the next stage.
Cut a strip of Storybook Gnomes DSP 2-1/4″ x approx 10-1/2″. Dry fit the strip around the closed treat box, ensuring there is a little “play” ie. it is not wrapped too tightly. Adhere the ends together around the back of the box. Using Bermuda Bay ink, stamp a sentiment from the Kindest Gnomes set onto the large label from the Waves Dies, die cut from Basic White card. Thread Iridescent Trim through the label. Apply edge pieces of dimensionals to the back of the label so that the Trim still runs freely. Adhere the label to the front of the box wrap. Tie the trim in a bow at the side of the box.
You can now slide the decorated wrap on and off the box.
I filled this one with ink refills – perfect for a crafty friend! You could also add a little skein of ribbon to pad the box and hold the ink refills in place.
