Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Gold & Silver 1/8″ Trim Combo Pack. This isn’t available in any catalogue – it’s an online exclusive. I’ll have tutorials for you this week, that share different ideas for using these shiny narrow ribbons.
Colour Combo
This colour combo mixes Metallic Silver, Smoky Slate and Melon Mambo.
Quick silver birthday card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Smoky Slate. Cut a card front layer (3-7/8″ x 5-1/2″) of Basic White card. Cut a (3-5/8″ x 2-1/4″) panel of one silver pattern of Like An Animal Specialty DSP to the top of the Basic White layer, keeping the top and side margins even. Adhere a (3-5/8″ x 3″) panel of another silver pattern of Like An Animal Specialty DSP to the base of the Basic White layer, keeping the bottom and side margins even. Wrap Silver 1/8″ Trim (from the Gold & Silver 1/8″ Trim Combo Pack) around the layers over the join in the DSP and adhere on the reverse. Adhere the layers centrally, direct to the card front.
Using Melon Mambo ink, stamp a sentiment from the Artistically Inked stamp set onto a scrap of Basic White card. Punch out with the plain oval from the double oval punch. Punch a scalloped oval from Smoky Slate card. Adhere the stamped plain oval direct to the scalloped oval. Pop the sentiment up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish with a trio of (Melon Mambo) Glossy Dots.

Quick silver birthday card insert
On the Basic White insert, using Melon Mambo ink, stamp another sentiment from the Artistically Inked stamp set. Add borders of the two patterns of Like An Animal Specialty DSP used on the front, along the base.
