Tutorial for quick sequin get well card

June 12, 2023

Today’s tutorial is for a quick sequin get well card. The sequins add a hint of luxury without being too fussy.

The DSP on the card front is from a sheet of Fresh as a Daisy DSP (included in the 15% off sale) that has multiple patterned panels on it.

Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins. Each pack includes four colours (copper, silver, brown and gold), in two different sizes for a total of 200 sequins. I’ll have tutorials for you this week, that share different ideas for adding these metallic embellishments to your projects.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick sequin get well card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Start with an A6 portrait card of Pretty Peacock. Trim a (3-5/8″ x 5-1/4″) panel of Fresh as a Daisy DSP (see video for tips on cutting) and mat onto a (3-7/8″ x 5-1/2″) card front layer of Wild Wheat card. Adhere the layers direct to the card front. Cut a (1/2″ x 2″) Basic White sentiment label. Using Pretty Peacock ink, stamp a sentiment from the Ringed with Nature set onto the label. Mat onto (3/4″ x 2-1/4″) Wild Wheat card. Pop the sentiment label up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish with a trio of (gold) Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

Here’s a short video showing how this quick card comes together. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.

They’re growing on me too Lynn. I think they’ll really come into their own as a set in Autumn but for other seasons it’s more about what you mix each of them with.
