Today’s tutorial is for a quick in color pearls retirement card. This design could also be used for a variety of other occasions such as a birthday, get well or congratulations.

Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the 2022-2024 In Color Pearls. This is a pack of 200 adhesive-backed pearls; 40 each of the 5 In Colors. I’ll have tutorials for you this week, that share different ideas for using these pretty embellishments.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick in color pearls retirement card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Starry Sky, Boho Blue and Copper Clay.

Quick in color pearls retirement card

Start with an A6 portrait card of Starry Sky. Adhere a (5-1/2″ x 3-7/8″) card front layer of Fresh as a Daisy DSP (see video for cutting guide). Cut a (2-1/8″ x 1-1/8″) panel of Basic White card. Using Starry Sky ink, stamp a sentiment from the Gone Fishing set onto the panel. Mat onto (2-3/8″ x 1-3/8″) Starry Sky card. Pop the sentiment up on the card front with dimensionals. Punch the duo of Dragonflies from Starry Sky card (retain the mini dragonfly for the insert). Bend the wings of the large dragonfly upwards and adhere the body direct to the card front. Add Starry Sky In Color Pearls all along the body of the dragonfly.

On the Basic White insert, using Starry Sky ink, stamp another sentiment from the Gone Fishing stamp set. Bend the wings of the tiny dragonfly upwards and adhere the body direct to the lower right corner of the insert.
