Petite Petals card in a box

March 10, 2014

It’s March and a very busy month for Paper Dolls birthdays Smile

I enjoy having a specific person to create for, especially when it’s other crafters – that really raises the bar.

I decided to make a card in a box for my teammate Krista:

petite petals box card

The card in a box base was made of Summer Starfruit and matted with two different patterns of Sweet Sorbet DSP  (133521 – available FREE with a £45 purchase during Sale-a-bration). Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin Ribbon (126846) was wrapped around the box and a tied bow of the same ribbon adhered over the join with Mini Glue Dots. A variety of Petite Petals** flowers (Wood 133152 or Clear 133155) were stamped in Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral and Summer Starfruit inks onto Whisper White card and punched out with the matching Petite Petals** punch (133322). These were adhered back to back at the top of slivers of Window Sheet (114323) and arranged across card insert bars. Leaves punched from Pistachio Pudding card with the Bird Builder punch (117191) and adhered around the flowers. Strips of Pistachio Pudding were snipped for “grass”and adhered over the insert bars before these were adhered to the inside of the card. Basic Rhinestones (119246) were used to finish the centres of the flowers.

** Buy the Petite Petals stamp set and matching punch together as a bundle and save 15% – Wood Bundle 134821 or Clear Bundle 134822

The card folds flat and fits inside a standard C6 envelope.
