Today’s tutorial is for a Sheer Ribbon tied cracker. The Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack has three different ribbons including Azure Afternoon and Bubble Bath in addition to the Lemon Lolly used here. Mix them with the Bright & Beautiful DSP and you can create a whole lot of crackers for birthdays, anniversaries or weddings! I’ve created this one to match the quick knotted ribbon birthday card.
The Fresh as a Daisy DSP also has the trio of colours within it.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Sheer Ribbon tied cracker. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
This colour combo mixes Lemon Lolly, Azure Afternoon and Bubble Bath.

Using the Cracker & Treat Box dies, die cut a cracker from Bright & Beautiful DSP. Burnish all the fold lines with a bone folder. Tie one end closed in a bow with Lemon Lolly from the Sheer Ribbon Pack. Add your treat and tie the other end closed with another bow.
Die cut a flagged label from the Cracker & Treat Box dies, from a scrap of Basic White card. Using Azure Afternoon ink, stamp a sentiment from the Sending Smiles set onto the label. Pop this up on the cracker with mini dimensionals.
The cracker is a perfect size for gifting pound notes (you would need to check for other currencies). Tip – Roll your notes around a pencil to make them easier to slide inside. This is a great way to pretty up a cash gift.
If you make gifts for crafting friends then it’s worth knowing that the cracker is the perfect size for a Stampin’ Ink Refill. Of course you can also add small sweet treats as another alternative.
Thanks for stopping by.
